- About me
- I am Founder and Director of the Toby Center for Family Transitions, the DBA for the Children's Rights Council of Connecticut, Inc. first incorporated in 2000. My desire to help parents in challenging marriages, in divorce or post divorce proceedings emerged from my own divorce experience in 1998. I saw the difficulties that my children experienced, their alienation towards me and my family. I saw their difficulties in accepting dual loyalties towards both mom and dad. To better understand my own journey, I became a doctoral student in Family Studies, graduating with a Ph.D. with specialization in high conflict divorce. The philosophy that I have embraced is the mission of the Toby Center, that in order to improve outcomes for children, we must focus on helping their parents.
