Carol Cedar Nominated for Coveted Junior League Woman Volunteer Of The Year Award

At the heart of every strong community is a spirit of giving. Every fall the Junior League of Boca Raton’s Woman Volunteer of the Year luncheon honors the women who have demonstrated exemplary volunteerism and selflessness in the local community. For many years, Carol Cedar has been the “spirit of giving” for numerous local nonprofit organizations. Carol is the Executive Assistant to the President of the South Florida division of FirstService Residential, a leading Florida property management company specializing in home owner associations and community association management.  In addition to her career she takes time to lead the charitable and volunteer initiatives for FirstService Residential. Together the company and Carol maintain an impressive track record of giving back to the community.

During her tenure at FirstService Residential, Carol has created a culture of giving and community support. For the past 6 years, she has organized school supply drives, toy and bike collections, food drives and volunteer and sponsorship opportunities. She has also provided ongoing storage and office space for Spirit of Giving and Boca Raton’s Promise.

Spirit of Giving is collaborative organization made up of more than 60 nonprofits—it is stronger because of volunteers like Carol who see the importance of supporting the greater community. She and her colleagues lend a hand where ever and whenever it is needed including Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Humane Society, Boca Helping Hands, Gold Coast Down Syndrome and the Pink Ribbon Luncheon.  A sense of community is important to Carol and she prove it through commitment, actions and results—dedicating time and effort to assisting worthy causes and organizations.
