Description: The American Disabilities Foundation is the proud sponsor of the Boating & Beach Bash for People with Disabilities. The Bash is the largest, free, fun day in the nation for children, veterans, women and men with physical and/or intellectual challenges - and their caregivers. Held each March since 2009 at Spanish River Park on A1A in Boca Raton, the Bash welcomes more than 5,000 attendees annually, assisted by 500 South Florida volunteers drawn from every sector of the community, including high schools, colleges, business, government and civic organizations. Guests are treated to a totally free day, which includes a complimentary BBQ lunch, boat rides on two dozen yachts donated for the event by their generous owners, a live concert and dozens of fun activities, super heroes and attractions designed to appeal to all age groups and abilities. The American Disabilities Foundation oversees the entire event, raises the funds that support it and provides a committee of 25 local community leaders to facilitate all aspects of the Bash. For the last four years, the Bash has been named The Best Community Service Program in South Florida by the Gold Coast Public Relations Society.
