There are many organizations that help strengthen South Florida.  And one that brings them all together.  The Spirit of Giving network unites more than 60 of South Florida's greatest nonprofit organizations to share resources and knowledge with the purpose of building strong vibrant communities. By working together with citizens, businesses and community partners, we create alliances and programs that promote lasting change.
One of our significant programs is our community Back to School Bash.  Our goal is to supply over 4,000 at-risk children in south Palm Beach County with a backpack full of age appropriate supplies so they can arrive at school with self-assurance and the tools needed to succeed.
This year's Back to School Bash will be held on Saturday, July 29th at Village Academy in Delray Beach.  At the event, registered students are paired with a volunteer personal shopper to assist them in selecting their own backpack, supplies, and shoes. In addition, their families are navigated through a complimentary health and resource fair offering medical and dental screenings, vision tests, haircuts, healthy snacks, and access to various supportive community resources.
It is an all-encompassing collaborative event that eliminates the duplication of services among over 40 nonprofit agencies to provide a more efficient and equitable distribution of community resources. Your support will touch many organizations and will go further to help at-risk children in southern Palm Beach Communities.
Join us in "Putting Kids First" and helping thousands of local children begin the school year with confidence!  Together, our efforts touch thousands of children and families.
