Boca Raton Bowl Idol

To a packed house filled with more than 300 community leaders and friends, family and Bowl fans, the top eight semi-finalists “gave it their all” last night in the 2018 Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl Idol talent competition presented by Marshall Socarras Grant. After performing live in two rounds to win the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the 2018 Bowl game on Tuesday, December 18 at FAU Stadium, Adrianna Foster, 32 of Miami triumphed. Held at The Addison in Boca Raton, the event kicked off the month-long Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Festival Days and benefited the Bowl’s Charity Partner Spirit of Giving.

Chosen through an open-to-the-public round of online voting, the eight semi-finalists, ranging in age from 13 to 55, hailed from Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Delray Beach, Lake Worth, Miami, Tamarac and West Palm Beach. Each performed a song of their choice for the live audience and a combination of audience votes and judges selections determined the top three: Emma Brown, 14, Lake Worth; Adrianna Foster, 32, Miami and Mikaylah O’Brien,13, Boca Raton. The three finalists took to the stage once more to sing the National Anthem, so that the judges could determine the ultimate competition “winner”: Adrianna Foster.

The 2018 Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl Idol looks forward to performing the National Anthem during opening ceremonies to a stadium crowd prior to the game being televised nationally. She will receive10 game tickets for family and friends which include sideline access during the performance.

“This has been a great night for our community – we had a fantastic, spirited turnout to watch the competition; we featured incredible local talent; and it all was in support of Boca Chamber Festival Days and our charitable partner, Spirit of Giving,” said Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl Executive Director Doug Mosley. “I congratulate Adrianna Foster for the amazing performances that won this competition and thank Marshall Socarras Grant for their support in making this a success.”
